IC5146 10282013 · IC5146, the Cocoon Nebula in the constellation Cygnus. Dark nebula Barnard 168 is the dark lane that surrounds the emission nebula and projects westward forming the appearance of a trail behind the Cocoon. 20x300sec fits exposures captured and combined in Nebulosity v3.1.0 software. Finishing touches done in PhotoShop.
